Not-For-Profit Organizations

It is the ongoing mission of the Michiana Free-Net to provide the not-for-profit organizations of St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties with free web hosting. This service applies whether or not the organization uses Michaiana Free-Net as their Internet service provider.

  • If a not-for-profit organization wishes to use Michiana Free-Net as their Internet service provider the rate is $15/month or $45/quarter.

  • Special rates are available for multiple e-mail accounts.

  • If the organization wishes to have a domain name such as nameoftheorganization.org they can purchase one from
    Register.com or
    Network Solutions.com

    These domain names should be registered using the following information for Primary and Secondary DNS.
    Primary DNS --- ns1.michianafreenet.net
    Secondary DNS --ns2.michianafreenet.net
    This information is requested at these sites when you register for the domain name.
    The Michiana Free-Net will then setup of the website for a one time reduced fee of $50.

  • If the organization does not want to buy a domain name, Michiana Free-Net will put up the website for free. In this case the Web address will be http://community.michiana.org/accountname (where the account name is chosen by the organization).

  • The Free-Net will provide help with uploading and editing the files on the organization's website.
